Marie DerAssadourian, 85, of New Britain, died unexpectedly on Thursday, Feb. 25, 2010 at the Hospital of Central Connecticut in New Britain. She was the widow of Rev. Fr. Vartan DerAssadourian, former pastor of the Armenian Church of the Holy Resurrection.
Born in Lebanon, she was a New Britain resident since 1968. She was a member of the Armenian Church of the Holy Resurrection, the Women's Guild and the Seniors group at church.
Surviving are three sons, Edward Vatche DerAssadourian of New Britain, Ralph DerAssadourian and his wife Deborah of Chicago, Harry DerAssadourian and his wife Jane of Farmington; a brother, George Ishak and his wife Sarah of California; six grandchildren, Danielle, David, Joseph, Ryan, Anne Marie, and Kevin; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 AM at the Armenian Church of the Holy Resurrection. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday morning at church from 9:30 to 10:45 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Armenian Church of the Holy Resurrection, 1910 Stanley St., New Britain, CT 06053. Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
