Miguel Castillo, 49, of New Britain, died Saturday, Feb. 27, 2010 at home. Born in Puerto Rico, he was a New Britain for the past 20 years and was a member of St. Mary Church.
Surviving are his mother, Christina Lopez of Puerto Rico; his beloved wife, Rosaura Vega of New Britain; two children, Carlos Castillo and Crystalee Castillo, both of New Britain; a brother, Jose W. Diaz of New Britain; a sister, Naylin G. Diaz of Puerto Rico; five grandchildren, other family including Aida Lopez; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, Miguel Castillo.
Funeral services will be held on Friday at 9:00 AM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 So. Main St. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. Mary Church. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery. Calling hours are Thursday from 7-9 PM at the funeral home.
